SporeSmart – Surveillance and Sustainable Management of Fusarium Diseases in staple crops

SporeSmart

We are proud to share that Russell Bio Solutions is working with a fantastic consortium to build SporeSmart — an AI-driven surveillance and management system that gives farmers early warning of Fusarium in staple crops.

By combining spore sensing, weather/crop data and field validation, SporeSmart will deliver predictive alerts so growers can act sooner. The programme also trials a bio-pesticide to support a transition away from heavy chemical fungicides.

Partners: MMVSense, CSIR–Ghana,  SMARTAGRI, and others — with support from UKRI / Innovate UK.

We’re piloting in Ghana now, with a pathway to scale across Africa, the UK and beyond. If you’re interested in collaboration, field sites or data sharing, let’s talk.
