Our core expertise lies in sustainable biorational plant nutrition and plant protection solutions that utilize beneficial soil microbes and natural products. We translate scientific knowledge into innovative products and provide safe, effective, and climate-smart solutions for the agricultural and horticulture industries worldwide.

“Our mission is to develop and market technologies that address the challenge of feeding the world’s population without causing harm to people or the environment. Our goal is to expand our successful partnerships to achieve global reach and share knowledge and benefits with the world.”

We are pioneers in the production of microbial pesticides in the UK, operating from our factory in North Wales Flint. We manufacture biological pesticides, fungicides, nematicides, bio-fertilizers, bio-stimulants, and crop performance accelerators. Over the past eight years, Russell Bio Solutions has developed more than 20 innovative biorational products for sustainable crop production. We possess expertise in large-scale solid and liquid fermentation of microbes, as well as attract-and-kill systems and slow-release microbial tablet formulations. Our research facilities include a microbiology laboratory and a lab-scale fermentation facility for the production of beneficial microbes through liquid and solid-state fermentation. Currently, our products are marketed in over 30 countries worldwide.

We have a strong Research and Development team and have participated in various development projects funded by Innovate UK. We also have an in-house microbiology laboratory for quality control and new product development.

We have developed several biorational solutions for significant invasive insect species, including fruit flies, Fall Armyworm, Tuta absoluta, and other invasive pests reported in Europe, Asia, and Africa. We are a part of the Russell IPM group, which has been in the market for over 30 years and has been awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise three times (2011, 2012, and 2018).

Our solutions assist smallholder farmers in Asia and Africa in exporting their crops to overseas markets. Our sustainable systems help farmers cope with the consequences of climate change and reduce their reliance on chemical fertilizers and pesticides significantly. Our aim is to develop sustainable soil solutions and an agro-ecological climate where minimal intervention is required to achieve the highest level of harvest. We strive to deliver sustainable crop protection solutions to the agriculture industry worldwide.
